Hey fudd:

Perhaps you'd have more success selling the merits of the PWeeIII 733's to the converted on that other thread. Not too many here wearing blinders...Some (one at least) of us here really don't buy the Intel party line any longer..The superior architecture of the Athlon has been demonstrated over the past 6 months by its seamless evolution from 500 to 800 Mhz and what remains is how this superior architecture will manifest itself in the marketplace when Dresden reaches production capacity! (certainly management's Y2000 plans for the Athlon do provide exciting guidelines). Obviously the possibility that the Athlon's superior architecture will hurtle AMD to the forefront of the microprocessor marketplace over the next couple of years presents an exciting scenario as well!

PWeeIII is a real tough sell here (and for GTW too, I hear), given the many false starts over the past 3 months and today's "public seminar" on Intel's production problems with their tired and worn PWeeIII architecture!
