As a member of management of one of those 5000 company's, your comment is right on the mark as far as our situation. We rushed into new hardware and enterprize software, and we have a HUGE task ahead of us in digesting all the change. Many needed decision's were postponed, (or made in too much haste) in order to meet the deadline. The next several months (years) will be spent trying to deal with those issues. IMHO no chance of investing more capital on hardware in the near future, but I see more consulting dollars being spent modifying software that is very unfriendly to users as a result of the installation decisions.
