ATHM is showing sign of desperation. Free dial-up access to gain more potential customers for its cable modem based business. It's content that matter!!!! More proof ATHM and Excite need a split. It's Excite that drove this, not ATHM. "executives are betting they can PERSUADE many of their new dial-up users to EVENTUALLY sign up for the company's high-speed cable Net service,..." If this is true then all is lost. ATHM execs are idiots. I don't believe its true, the way it is implied. Even that 11th grade reporter whom Rascal quoted a month ago would realize that this is moronic. Perhaps his 15 year old brother wrote that line. Regards Jay
