I mostly just don't like the elderly Michael, because I feel they manipulated the tax code with their powerful demographics against the young.

Two recent examples are - capital gains tax cuts abound, but stock options have been redefined such that a bunch of the gains are ordinary income. Also the medicare cap which used to be 50K or something has been removed completely. So if somebody works in a startup for a low salary and makes a million $$ one year, they will pay through the nose for medicare, since a bunch of their mkt gains will be "ordinary income". Otoh the nonproductive capital gains from the same financial pool (equity mkts) are not taxed in the same manner, so the elderly can make a windfall in the mkts and pay nothing to their own healthcare program. Theres a million laws like this now.
