<I've seen some encouraging signs, however, that some of the dot com money is looking for undervalued biotechs.>

Actually heard on WCBS (NY- radio) business news, care of a WSJ reporter, that money is rotating from the internet to biotech. Imagine that!

This is a very generic look at some genome background material. Nothing too technical. Lots of links to other sites with more info. FWIW.

usnews.com

And finally, found this:
Intent to Sell Form 144 12/29/99
Incyte Pharmaceuticals Inc Number of Filers: 5 Total Shares:135,745
Wonder if they sold too soon?

Jim

Rick,

Agree that with your goals for "2000" BPUR is not a good fit. Upside is huge, but it is a one-trick pony (actually the pony can do lots, lets call it a one-pony stable); and though they have the veterinary version already approved and selling, it is frankly all clinical/regulatory risk. Do look at it for your PP.

I've seen some encouraging signs, however, that some of the dot com money is looking for undervalued biotechs

You'll enjoy this from the top ten surprises for 2000, as published by a strategist at MSDW:

The Internet will meet its Waterloo... then later on ...biotechnology breakthroughs will extend the life expectancy for those under 40 in developed economies by two years...
