DRDRAM is about reduced pincount. You can get the same memory bandwidth with DDR SDRAM if you want to pay the price in packaging and MB traces. You are right in that Intel is betting a lot on DRDRAM prices falling. Good! Then we can all talk about it. I am not an expert on processor architecture and I couldn't begin to do it justice. EP
