bob - DSL is toast and so is cable - we will have fiberoptic backbones to neighborhoods and a wireless last mile, IMHO - also try Picocells on for size --

Re : this [high hopes for G] is all hype and hot air...* Irwin Jacobs (who is incredibly cautious about what he says regarding businesses with which he is involved) has publicly said things to the effect of "I am personally bullish on Globalstar." I do not think he would dare to cloud his record of remaining conservative on predictions if there were really some obvious big question mark regarding subscriber sign-ups and usage of Globalstar. If we (SI readers) have to choose between going with Dr. Jacobs or someone who uses a pseudo-name and claims to work at a hedge fund that claims to be a short seller of GSTRF, who do you think we are going to go with ?
