Mani - <So, 9 weeks ago the bin splits for 733 was "in double digits %", production was "ahead of schedule", had already shipped 100 thousand, the weak after that was 1 million.>

733's aren't as rare as you are making out Mani. Pricewatch, reports of carry out systems, etc., are all out there. GTW certainly didn't say it wasn't getting enough high end chip today, now did they??? CPQ is even taking orders for 800's. I'm sure they wouldn't be doing this if they didn't at least have some on hand. Yes, shortly after intro, there were several reports of high end parts. Point me to a recent one.

Also, as I have pointed out recently, and when I had to grovel about my channel call, I do not have clear visibility to the distribution side of the situation. I made some assumptions on that aspect that were clearly wrong. I am endeavoring to learn from my mistake.

Also, the infamous "double digit" comment I made did and still holds.

This gets difficult, because ultimately I would have to spew data that I'm not allowed to spew to make my point.

You are free to make your own read of the situation, and make calls as you see fit, and believe that I am full of crap if you want. I am precluded from explaining every detail. I have tried, in as best terms as I feel I can, to explain what is going on, with the information I have at hand. Also, I believe the overall market situation (high demand) has something to do with the picture.

I still stand by the information my posts. When I am clearly incorrect (as with the channel volume call), I hope I will correct myself.

And I am still very confident the ramp, in the aspects I have commented on, is going overall in the manner I have specified.
