Ted,

Europe stock exchanges will open in 19 minutes. I wonder what the reaction would be (AMD stock) with all this news.

Ted,

re: "Intel fab capacity"

MEGAFLOP can produce 60K wafers/qtr.

AMDs yields are around 100 DPW so 6M units.

Intel has WORLD CLASS YIELDS and would CLEARLY yield 200++ DPW or 12M units per fab.

If Intel is gonna ship sub 36M CPU's in Q4 that means that they only have 3 FABS running CPU's.

Surely something doesn't COMPUTE here.

Geez where are our "process experts" when we need them.

regards,

Kash

Ted, I'm not going to be dragged into yet another pointless squabble. Intel has been producing 25M CPUs per quarter in 1999, compared to AMD's 5M per quarter. And now Kash is arguing that Intel should be producing 60M CPUs per quarter? What kind of argument is that?

I think the only doublespeak here is coming from the AMDroids who think this debate is going anywhere.
