Good article ...

I do not believe that many people realize that "You've got Email" is how it actually works ....

Electronic Trading is for suckers ..... is and always will be .... Electronic Trading allows the firm to skim profits ... similar to the skimming of small profits in the Las Vegas Casino's back in the 1960-70?s .....

just an opinion ....

To all,

From the IS article: Presently we are testing the IB Workstation offered by Interactive Brokers.

IB came up in discussion on this thread some time back. I have been using it for several weeks now for trading NASDAQ stocks, which is a recent addition to their options/futures trading platform. It is very different from what most of you are familiar with, i.e. RealTick3 based or similar type platforms. Personally, I like it, but it is still maturing and has a ways to go to be ideal for anyone who trades larger quantities. I mention it here now for anyone who might be interested, especially for those who want to get in the game with relatively small risk and still be able to make money trading smaller share lots.

At $1.00 per 100 shares traded for any size lots, IB offers direct access to several ECNs, SelectNet, and as of today it appears they have added a MM, Mayer & Schweitzer (pay for order flow, I imagine) as an OPTIONAL execution path. They do not have L2, but what they do have is, in some respects, better because you can see the best ECN quotes regardless of where they are on L2. If you use it, I would recommend a second source for quotes, charts, news, etc.

I'm not here to hype the system, but for anyone interested you might want to visit the IB thread. I've been trying to post my experiences and observations over there.
