It looks like the average earnings estimate was for a loss of $.05 a share: biz.yahoo.com With actual loss only $.01 a share, things are looking good.

Hi H, The fact that they narrowed the loss certainly won't hurt the overall story for GENE. US News and World's headline for the Jan 10th issue spends considerable time discussing the world of genetics. Unfortunately it didn't specifically mention GENE. They do mention a guy as the discoverer of the cystic fibrosis defective gene. I recall that GENE was somehow involved, but can't remember the details. Seems to me they developed a test for CF and then sold the test and rights to someone else. Anybody remember the details on that one? Best regards, Tom
