ICS - INTRINSYC SOFTWARE INC. Saw this one in the Investors Digest last week and Bidding on Bay Street this week. Their AGM is next week.

Intrinsyc posted revenues of $844,096 for the fourth quarter, an increase of 87 per cent over the same period last year. Revenues for the year ended Aug. 31, 1999, were $2,250,978 (unaudited), an increase of 300 per cent over the prior year.
"The world is moving from a few hundred-million desktop PCs being plugged into the Internet to billions of low cost Internet devices and information appliances becoming the predominant access points," says Derek Spratt, Intrinsyc's president and chief executive officer. "Intrinsyc is extremely well positioned to take advantage of this burgeoning market."
Information appliances and Internet devices are the small, invisible computers hidden in everyday items, such as parking ticket vending machines or factory floor controllers, that can communicate via the Internet -- what is being called the embedded Internet. According to leading industry analyst IDC, U.S. shipments of information appliances will reach 42 million by 2002, a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 96.3 per cent, while PCs will only experience a CAGR of 12.2 per cent.
Intrinsyc sells its Web-enabled technologies to leading companies, which use them to rapidly create Internet devices or information appliances, link them to other areas of the company (for example, so factory floor data can be accessed by company decision makers), and help them manage these hundreds and thousands of devices once they are out in the field.
