RE:Rudedog-You did the exact right thing in buying the bike-I have raised, with two wives, six kids (two-step-children-2nd wife) and never had much extra money. I believe money should be spent judiciously and when necessary.wbm

Dog:
We can be certain of only a few things that consistantly work in this market
1. As you say, stay invested on the positive side
2. Stay with the tech stocks - at least for max gains while the
field is growing
3. No matter which stock one prefers to own there will always be one (or many)that outperforms it.
4. The better a stock performs, the more tempting it is to the bears to knock it. Dell will always have an LT or an ML.
PS: Dell has met or beat earnings estimates for about 23 consequetive quarters or 4 3/4 years.

Hi!!

RE: Anyone who has been in the market a long time has "could'a, would'a" kind of stories - but in that particular case, I had a small portfolio and spent some time thinking about whether it was smart to sell - decided it was not smart but there was no other way to get the bike for my son so I did it. My wife kept tabs on the "price" of the bike for me for a few years after that, it became a kind of family joke that reminded us of how important it was to keep as much invested in this rising market as we could...

You must have a wonderful wife that can still laugh at these things...
:o)

Best, KEmble
