I can see that Chris land makes people uncomfortable. For example, someone who brags about having an affair with a married man would feel uncomfortable being reminded that adultery is a violation of the Seventh Commandment. I don't know of any "brand" of Christianity that thinks that adultery with a married man with children is OK. Do you? So if someone who is having an adulterous affair claims to be a practicing Christian, why shouldn't he comment on it?

The only reason I can think of might be that it's none of his business, and it's rude to comment on other people's personal lives. But then, I see that commenting on other people's personal lives is fair game on this thread. So why should he be held to a different standard than anyone else?

Regardless, I think it's indefensible to say things to him like "screw you," or to call him a "demented Jesus freak," or to mock his beliefs. Just my opinion.

Isn't it wonderful how the thread has held to a resolve to talk about ideas rather than persons!? LOL!
