e-Christmas 1999 was the first real consumer buying in millions over the internet (much larger than 1998)

the infrastructure (delivery, orders, logisitics) seems to not have scaled...which means as investors a new company(s) need to be created to handle the logistics and delivery from warehouse to consumer (fedex, ups cannot handle the new pace i suspect)

if webvan shifted from low-margin groceries to just being a order/fulfillment of EVERYTHING then i think it could be a better company

others are needed though...startups meeting warehouses
