For anyone who wants to rationally dissect the methodology, choices, and strategies espoused on CTSL, please whang away.

As a bottom up investor, I listen when Charlie Munger talks fondly about Value Line, and how to read it. I had hoped that CTSL would offer that type of insight into techs. I came away disappointed.

In retrospect, the investment strategy espoused by Michael Murphy often quotes Stan Weinstein as a kind of guru. Focus on Bull Bear numbers indicates a timing bias, not fundamental valuation.

History shows that investing on investors can be profitable over short periods. Durable results are achieved by investing in companies that can throw off free cash.

CTSL is a confusing mix of fundamentals and TA.

Perhaps this is best illustrated by the CTSL combination of electronic companies with biotechs. The first lends itself to linear methods, while the latter is non-linear all the way. I can see the combo as a trivial attempt to use portfolio theory to reduce volatility. But does it work?

Bob Mayo doesn't want to share copyrighted material. That's an interesting weasel hutch. He posts on a site specifically targeting CTSL, but doesn't want to discuss it.

You omitted part of my post which read: "This board was setup with the best intentions, but quickly deteriorated into a forum for anti-Murphy rants."

Constructive posts on this thread have been few and far between. As I said before, it's little more than a graffiti board for guys like you.

BTW, if CTSL is available to the public at your library, why bother to ask subscribers what's in it? And if you already know, why not open a coherent discussion? But that's not really your intent nor, I suspect, the intent of most who post here.
