I am not deterred by the low number of subscribers who have signed on to Iridium's service. I suspect the most basic reason of all for Iridium's failure to sign up more customers is that the call transmission quality is reported to be so poor. Tough to attract customers to pay for a system that basically doesn't work as advertised!

ML was a big IRID cheerleader. I'm sure the equity blood bath they and their customers shared was a bitter pill to swallow. It does not surprise me that ML would have a negative opinion of G*. I suspect they will never come onboard G* no matter how big a success.
