no free markets...thats the whole market in a nutshell. Between the Fed and the market makers there is no room for outside forces. I think they know exactly where they want to park the indexes in time for expiration Friday every month. Sure, they can't go against strong outside forces - they go with the flow, but they know where and when they are going, and make a mint every yard of the way.
