I thought Athlon was a microprocessor.


And an X86 one at that. Actually, microprocessor is enough t o make it a copy of something Intel, because Intel invented the microprocessor. You make a good point about where would AMD be if Intel had not blazed both the microprocessor and the X86 trail. AMDroids don't seem to see that. Instead, they post as if AMD invented the world every time they add a new K product or a megahertz in an existing one.
