Hi!! RE: Some people just don't get it. Hey, isn't that a broad statement for the current status of this company...I'm sure you were referring to CPQ's situation but what is almost frustrating is the lack of insight investors have for what DELL is really doing with their business...Direct is it...and the relationships that DELL has achieved over these 15 years will continue to push their market share higher...Their efficiency is and will continue to push anyone anywhere they choose..Yet, one of the main reasons why I am so excited about the future comes from asking myself why someone would make a few very bold statements that IMO are way out of character for this management... IMO the single word that best describes why one should be BUYING DELL came from the reply that Michael made to Mort when Mort admitted that if CPQ could not digest the DEC acquisition " it would be like handing DELL the keys to the kingdom"..I believe that they knew there would be an IBM/DELL partnership which would also enable many strategic moves which could further weaken CPQ and others...His reply: "CHECKMATE"...
