NT was merely filling a hole in their product portfolio. 1 meg modems just don't cut it, so they acquired a decent DSL play.

If you ask me, this was a better acquisition for them than QTERA. At least they have something they can sell right away.

I still don't understand why NT didn't develop
a DSL product in-house after the 1-Meg modem.
They had the people and the $$$, and if NN can do it
with an third party chipset, I cannot see why NT couldn't.

Again, I asked you what expertise you had to draw your conclusion about the acquisition. Now, you are saying "only time can prove how NT's acquisition pans out." Earlier, you made the conclusion the the acquisition was useless but fashionable.
