There is a hormone that women secrete when they are pregnant and nursing that changes their personalities so that they love babies, I think it's oxytocin. Probably some women naturally have more oxytocin than others. I did not like babies in general, until I had some, and now I am crazy about babies. Chris thinks it's funny that I am always oohing and aahing when I see babies. So I think babies would be a lot safer with me now than they would have been before the oxytocin kicked in. Maybe that's why it's animal mothers that take in other animals' young, I don't think it's animals that never had young of their own.
