Off Topic - Eric, I am familiar with the area. You overlook the Snohomish River Valley which is very beautiful and has still retained its agricultural character. With time, you will get DSL. This summer, I watched the crews laying cable in the middle of Highway 99 in the South Snohomish County area. The county is growing so if we are patient, it will happen.

I have had DirecTV for some time. Makes you wonder why anyone keeps cable. Don't they have a sister, DirectPC?

Do you know anyone who has tried it?

O.T. I searched the SI message base for references to Snohomish County. You posted a message months ago, which indicates that you live near Monroe. I have been trying to raise the visibility of Snohomish County companies for 6 years. My question to you is: Do like the rate of growth around here, or would you rather it slows down? In other words, should I stop trying to attract tech companies to the area, and stop encouraging the ones we already have, or continue as a booster for the area?
