Off Topic - Eric, I am familiar with the area. You overlook the Snohomish River Valley which is very beautiful and has still retained its agricultural character. With time, you will get DSL. This summer, I watched the crews laying cable in the middle of Highway 99 in the South Snohomish County area. The county is growing so if we are patient, it will happen. Ken

OT I have had DirecTV for some time. Makes you wonder why anyone keeps cable. Don't they have a sister, DirectPC? direcpc.com Do you know anyone who has tried it?

O.T. I searched the SI message base for references to Snohomish County. You posted a message months ago, which indicates that you live near Monroe. I have been trying to raise the visibility of Snohomish County companies for 6 years. My question to you is: Do like the rate of growth around here, or would you rather it slows down? In other words, should I stop trying to attract tech companies to the area, and stop encouraging the ones we already have, or continue as a booster for the area? Tim Raetzloff
