Day 4 - its always darkest before the dawn: -
In hindsight, it should have been obvious. but it never seems to be. The techs have now had a full 10% pullback, that qualifies as a correction. The nets have corrected even more. This certainly has taken the wind out of the sails of the exuberance of the end of December. Is it time to panic bail. Is it time to jump in with all 4 feet? Who the hell knows. My feeling is that just as the NAS over-reacted to the upside, it is over-reacting to the downside. The great companies are still great companies. They are now being re-evaluated with less euphoria.
I have to think that we are a lot closer to a bottom than not. We need a power rally, then a retest of the current low.
On the other hand, if you have been in papers, metals, drugs, utilities, financials, you are probably wondering what the hell i am talking about. good luck all. larry
