Aren't corrections usually swift like this? I'm trying to remember 2 Octobers ago... a two week thing wasn't it? And then a few more weeks of stabilization before the rise?

Hey Bill may I suggest that this isn't a correction at all but merely a rotation out of extended stocks that just happen to make up the NASDAQ "index"? Example... today on the Naz "index" down 150.... Number of advances 1864 declines 2156 . New highs 95 New lows 68... Doesn't sound to bad to me. This "index" is clearly not representative of the average nasdaq stock.
