Good point. We'll probably never find out the truth. Like Diamond Jim said, why can't Barrett or Otellini pull a Chambers (or a Ruettgers) and come out with an Intel statement. Could be because of the quiet period, but I don't know what kind of information that covers. Intel will, if anything, err on the conservative side and say nothing, IMO.

Hi Jim,

It would be interesting to know the full story - i.e. the nature of the contract, the handling of shortages, allocations. It would also be interesting to make a comparison to how Dell is handled.
