re: LU warning...

The company attributed the lower than expected revenue and earnings for the first fiscal quarter to
several factors, including:

-- Faster than anticipated shifts in customers' purchases to Lucent's
newest 80-channel DWDM optical product line and greater than expected
demand for OC-192 capability on the 80-channel systems, which resulted
in near-term manufacturing capacity and deployment constraints;

perhaps this is good news in disguise?

Lucent's warning can't be bad for JDSU. JDSU has been pretty open about their situation and efforts to ramp up capacity.
JDSU's still seems limited by its capacity to produce. Still good for JDSU stock, if not for Lucent. The demand is out there.
Lucent has not been keeping up the pace of Nortel and Cisco as well---overall.
