Well, yea, the Y2K stuff was clearly wrong. And I don't think this selling is necessarily tax related.

I wonder if the labor report will have its usual effect (a wild run up). I'm suspecting that the last few days have perhaps induced some caution in the MO-MO traders (fear has yet to be felt).

You saying buying opps are created and 401k money rolls in later Jan? Interesting thought.

Likewise interesting will be the sectors where the money goes, and where not... techs smell, and hence they will pour in "old" stocks and small caps?
