Unfortunately, the strategists, er salespersons, on the tube give advice appropriate to people like they're all traders, and not investors. The advice is no longer tailored to specific needs, such as dictated by age, investment experience, risk-tolerance, etc. Some idiot told people to buy biotechs since they fell 8% the other day. That may be appropriate to a few people, but those people would've already pulled the trigger before he was on the tube.
