Just a thought - Nortel would not have spent $3 billion to buy Qtera and $800 million for a DSLam if there was any indictation of an earnings problem. I think we can count on Nortel beating their number. How do you think the market will react when Lucent misses by a substantial number and Nortel beats its number.

Bill, I am not sure that LU is losing this since the comment was about greater than expected demand for OC192. The issue was actually the ability to produce this product to meet demand. From what I gather, other products took a back seat to the 192 box which hurt the overall bottom line (since they couldn't ship enough...). LU should fire whoever did the forcasts for the 192 product.
