Yes, you do get what you pay for. For the low end, free ISPs are the way to go. They will last in some form or another. AS for ATTGlobal, you take that and I can offer your neighbor NuoMedia on a Net Appliance hooked up to a DSL line. He paid (is paying) about 45% of what you are paying and has much more functionality. You see, no matter what price tranche you compare (except for the highest one where the ultra fat client will always be supreme, as well as the smallest market), a pervasive, distributed architecture will always be more cost efficient.
