50 or under might be a good guess, Jim. Currently at 50 3/4, -21 5/8. I didn't realize until now that you can get REALTIME afterhours quotes thru SI

OT - LU

The shortfall with LU is company specific. At least that is what I got from analysts. They couldn't ramp up production of their 80 or 160 channel wdm products. Customers couldn't wait and took their business to CIENA and NT. There is still huge demand for networking products. CIENA could report huge profit in their next earnings report. NT and CSCO will be down 5% tommorrow but their earnings should be fine. Also, the semiconductor stocks that supply chips to LU will be down like VTSS and PMCS. Needless to say, LU will put huge pressure on the DOW on the open. LU traded down to 50.xx in after hours. I wouldn't be surprised to see LU open around 54 or 55 ish though. If we have a bad jobs report, the Nasdaq could fall 200pts. The Nasdaq is still overvalued if it hits 3500.

I would have emailed you privately but didn't see your address listed in your profile.

The closing price with some of these NYSE stocks is perplexing. Look at the close. LU supposedly closed at just over $69. Yet the last trade says $52. The day chart on it confirms that this thing traded just above $69 when the closing bell sounded. Too weird. I'd bet that tomorrow's change is measured from a $52 close to.

finance.yahoo.com

Same thing for IBM for 2 straight days now. It closed at $118 1/4 yesterday, yet an hour after the close it shows up as $2 lower. Same thing happened today. Somebody's playing with these things.

BTW, LU will probably open in mid to upper $50's tomorrow, IMHO. After that is anybody's guess.
