Frank ---It was me ---been sitting on the sidelines except for Qcom . At exactly 3:55 P.M I bought a bunch of triple "Q"(QQQ) ---two minutes after the close LU disappoints big time . Am I good or what ?
What really strikes me odd about GTW,INTC,LU and their problems are that they are manufacturing ( demand ) issues which should be construed as a positive . Heck they having been pushing Big Blue the last two days due to increase demand and Y2K being out of the way .
Will cost average down again tomorrow ---as you said the market is definitely manipulated by the big boys ---Will be sitting here in technology because that is where the future is

BEST WISHES
BILL

Hello Frank. I think LU announced right after the bell. Lu was down a little over 3 at the close. It is down over 20 in instinet.

The company is still doing alright but will not meet analysts expectations. Something like 32/39 instead of 52? The company still sees strong growth for 2000 but not as much this qtr and the qtr after next. I have no idea why they did not know things sooner. Maybe they are missing one of their top brass executives that went to HWP. Fiorella or something like that.

LU is not in the NAZ but some others are. Quite a few stocks are already affected in the after hours market. Can you trade in after hours? Maybe it's time for me to get one more brokerage that trades in after market hours. There were sev. occasions when I would have liked to buy something and could not. It can help on the sell side also. But it's a bit late to sell LU even though it could go lower by tomorrow. Maybe someone will step up to the plate and buy. I would like to buy but I dropped a tidy some again today and will probably not be able to buy anything for a while. I still have not sold anything and that's probably not an option anymore at this point, even though I have some nice profits left in some stocks. Sheesh.

There IS another employment number coming up tomorrow.

NAZ has corrected 10%. Fasten your seat belt if no buying comes in. I will not go into those cyclical stocks at this time. Even some of the pharmas are now being touted. They probably will go up some but with election talk around I am not hot to trot to go into that sector right now. I still have Merck and WLA.

Sonny

BTW. There were rumors before the close that Msft would come in short. But that was nixed right away but it took the NAZ down in one big hurry.

Intel down to about 75 in after hours. LU close to 50. Dell about 46.
