My top requests are:

1. Get all unread messages (One click pulls in all unread messages on all book marketed subjects for which the total unread is below a threshold level which is set in the user's Configuration)

2. Get 100 (Gets latest 100 messages on a subject)

3. Display at least X characters but no more than Y (When displaying multiple messages, display at least the first X characters of a message but don't display more than Y where X and Y are set in the user's Configuration)

4. When displaying multiple messages, pack them together tightly without much extra space between them. This allows lots of reading with little scrolling.

Of course, my top request would be to retain BrowseMaster which, in my experience, is one of the very best designed, user friendly, and effective pieces of software that I've ever seen. It has saved me countless hours and changed the SI experience from frustrating to pleasant. I recently tried to switch to the new SI and forced myself to use it for several days but just couldn't stand it! If these four requests are implemented, and implemented well, then the new SI may be useable.

Dear Cat-- your future list notewithstanding...being able to download unlimited unread messages from all bookmarked subjects and/or bookmarked peoplemarks is the key!!! If SI adds the BM Ignore features that would be icing on the cake.
Thanks.

Hersh

Top priorities:

1) Single click read of all new messages in all threads.
2) Auto-refresh.
3) Read next N messages (N should be user determined).

Catlady .. I'll join the throng that wants an unlimited (virtually) download at once. I set mine to 500 - which you need if you're away for a day for some of these threads.
