The LU news is interesting. First I have been expecting LU to have to take a hit related to its legacy voice based business, and that appears to be the case. Second, and more interesting is that part of LU's problem is that it could not keep up with DEMAND in many of its new product categories. This is always a good thing. Remember when AAPL sold off because it could not meet DEMAND for its G-4? The stock was hit and then rebounded to new highs. As long as DEMAND is good I am happy. Companies like JDSU and QCOM represent the new technology where the DEMAND is, not the old legacy business. Any weakness in these new areas will be welcome and heavily bought by yours truly. Those who understand will see the opportunity.
