Rod,

It's MS's predatory practices that have hurt more than their inferior products. I was reading stories years ago (tell me it's not still SOP) about MS turning acts of piracy into multi-year exclusive non-disclosable licensing deals or face prosecution. MS dumping selectively in any category that had an entrenched incumbent. All the classic MS plays, we have all read about them.

This Company is like the Terminator which is great for MS shareholders, but if you were a country, my God! if they become entrenched as your IT base you would be years, maybe decades getting a native IT sector off the ground. And they would be bleeding everyone every step of the way.

Yes Rod, I was just mentioning Countries/Continents I had actually read about but I personally believe the Linux rout/world domination will occur or be obviously evident within three years time. I think Win2k will see some sales as an upgrade, a mandatory upgrade for those continuing with MS, but I don't think it is going to convert many new customers (Gates is already being rebuffed here in Corporate America Datacenters, ala Citicorp, Ford?)
