Down <In fact, the problems LU is facing (demand for DWDM) is good damn news for us.>

I truly believe that few read anymore. They watch CNBC too much. At least one quarter out of every year Lucent comes on and says they didn't get the mix right for that quarter but that future quarters are well on track. Then, Lucent comes out the following three quarters and blows everyone away.

What the frick does the market think Lucent can't meet demand for the OC-192 80 channel system for? BECAUSE THERE'S TOO MANY FRICKING USERS; INCREASING USERS ARE BURSTING THE CONSTRAINTS OF THE OLDER MODELS. Good Lord, it's in black and white; do we need a VanGogh to paint them a picture?

Lucent is suffering from exactly what everyone is suffering from - ever shifting growing pains filling demand - their clothes are not large enough to fit the increasingly larger body.

Qualcomm is no different. Qualcomm's difference is that they've got these sizeable renewals coming in with a 75% profit margin attached to help mask the strains.

It just tears my dress when a stock sells off in the aftermarket for little seeming good reason.
