I just saw them squeezed between csco and all the new providers building out the data/optical infrastructure, and I didn't think they could re-focus from their traditional voice to data networks as quickly as they needed to keep up with demand. That, combined with their lethargic stock move as compared with the newer tech companies convinced me to unload it and accumulate more JDSU, as a safer investment. Call it lucky.

Bug boy, you see it coming by reading appropriate adult
entertainment material

thestandard.net

" Starting Aug. 5, a glitch in some Lucent software
intermittently interrupted service on MCI WorldCom's
backbone. The telco anticipated an outage of 24 hours,
but the problem wound up affecting some 3,000
business customers over 10 days ".
