Get your scripts out. Time to hear the usual lines repeated by the usual players: Market, specifically tech, is oversold. Quality stocks undervalued. Interest rates built in. Etc. Etc.

The Houses make their big profits and pay the big bonuses by buying stocks low and selling high. Where have the big profits been coming from of late? Tech...internet, infrastructure, telecom...This week they've picked up their profit wagons on the cheap. What are they going to do? Sit quietly by and hope their new purchases rise to "value"? Hell, no! They're going to start pumping and pounding the table and reassuring investors that their techs are great buys and that big bucks from the market will continue to increase wealth in their 401K's and IRA's. They can't afford for John Q Public to run away from the market and into CD's. Remember, nothing has changed about Q. It's not over-valued any more than Microsoft or Cisco or any other Gorilla growing like a weed with enough cash reserves to choke a wet mule. They all went down together... intentionally so.. and and they're all going to rise together. The only way Q isn't going to quickly rebound short term is to miss earnings.
