I loaded up on IBM too in my retirement fund after the price drops. The recent upgrades have been good to us!

I think LU will probably have a good trade in it tomorrow, and will soon be at a good level to invest in longer term. LU has always been an institutional darling, and will continue to be. There will be lots more analcysts talking up the bad news just to get the shares even cheaper. I think many of the institutional investors are very patient long-termers, and will be eager to begin buying LU on this kind of pullback.

Look where the patient investor would be if they bought IBM and ORCL after their pre-announced shortfalls.

I am long LU, have been since the spinoff from T, and I am definitely looking to add to that position in the next few days or weeks. Will also soon be adding a little to WCOM, CSCO, SUNW in the core portfoilio.

In addition, this warning is creating some other good buying opportunities in the sector. i.e. TLAB and ADCT nad possibly TKLC. My broker at MSDW called the ADCT CFO today and was told they are on par for the best quarter ever, and the future loooks bright. I'll double up somewhere under 60.

We may have further to fall yet, but when the bounce comes I think it will be dramatic. This is just what a lot of investors have been waiting for. Just pick your bottoms wisely, average down if need be, and go BIG. JMHO
