When access to after hours trading info is wide-spread, it doesn't take much for an inane comment to look like prescience....CMGI is trading lower in aftermarket, so let's move this one to a level where you can show off your stock price analytical skills and, using your simplistic formula, maybe you can predict within, say 10%, where CMGIs stock will bottom and say, within a week or two of when?

I'm assuming that since you are neither long or short on the stock that you are gracing us with your witty comments with a view to enriching our lives, so I just want to make sure that I maximize the opportunity!....am waiting almost breathlessly for your response to the above questions....I hope it has more insight than the comment that implied that CMGI has no earnings....better check out the 10K before responding to that one.

I guess one should expect the bears to be waking up from hibernation this week giving us small investors the same song and dance about the INET bubble bursting and what do you expect from companies with no earnings. The problem with that argument is that CMGI has a P/E in the double digits and it's majority owned companies are worth north of $7B.

bubbarayjr, I suggest you do a bit more DD on CMGI before making statements that betray your ignorance. I also suggest you cover your short before it's too late.

Steve

>> DotCom investors are about to learn an old lesson. >> Interest rates going up = stocks going down

Although many commentators worry that an increase in interest rates will cause stocks to fall, is it not the case that after most of the recent hikes stocks have risen?

re: bubba

Even though the slugs emerge from under their rocks when we have these rare down days, it's important to step back and realize: However bad longs feel on a day like this, this is what it's like for CMGI shorts 51 weeks a year!

The Fed raised rates three times last year. Did you manage to miss out on all the stocks that went up?

We didn't. 'Nuff said.

bubbarayjr -- Looks like several others have already called you to account for your simple-minded analysis of the market. How did you like that "gap down" today? Also, CMGI is not a "dotcom" stock. What planet did you just arrive from? CMGI eats bear meat for breakfast. So long.
