I do not agree. I think instinct CAN be influenced by knowledge. For example your fight or flight reflex will be triggered if you KNOW you are in danger (that is knowledge)- if you are in danger but are unaware of the danger this behavior (heightened respiratory, increased adrenaline etc) will not be triggered.

You are (imo) wrong. Knowledge may be a necessary trigger for some behaviors- or perhaps "comprehension" is a better word, if it makes you feel more comfortable. But either way I am completely easy in what I said.
