To all who need a point of grounding. Take three deep breaths and consider:

1. You have three basic choices; buy - hold - sell.

2. Current price only matters if you are buying or selling.

3. Make the buy choice because you have a very specific reason, not an emotion. Make the sell choice because you have a very specific reason, not an emotion. If you don't have a very specific reason to buy or sell, holding could be your best choice.

4. Many who try and sell and buy back lower either get whipsawed or lose a good position that never gets reestablished.

5. The market will always go up and down but the long-term trend is up. Historical trends favor a bull market.

6. Corrections like this and much worse happen in the market on a regular basis. Every time, many holders get shaken out of their positions; others get an opportunity to establish an excellent position at a great price.

7. The worst time to sell is into weakness, especially a panic. That is the best time to buy, however.

8. You'll never get out at the absolute top; you'll never buy at the absolute bottom. Regardless, always celebrate your profits and control your losses.

9. Everyone makes their own decisions in the end.

10. Remember what is most important to you in life and be grateful for it.

All very basic and known to each person here but sometimes a second look averts counting sheep. Even the best of us get wound up and a little (or a lot) wired when the market tanks. Not trying to be Mr. Know-it-all (that alias is already taken <ggg>). Perhaps talking to myself. ; )

Best of luck to everyone. I hope you all make a decision you will be happy with down the road, whatever it might be. Over and out for the evening.
