It would make things simpler if we all did that, but only if we all felt the same way about the same people. If I ignore all the people whose names begin with even-numbered letters, and they ignore all the people whose names begin with odd-numbered letters, then we'd evenly divide the thread between even and odd, and never the twain shall meet. Then we'd never have to argue. <edit> But your name (X) starts with an even-numbered letter. But then, your real name starts with an odd-numbered letter, so it's ok.
