There's some good new customers, but AKAM's press release about doubling their customer base is so puffed-up it's hard to read it through to the end.

""The pace at which our customers are discovering the significance of Akamai's FreeFlow service is a
testament to what this technology means for delivering a better Internet," said George Conrades,
chairman and CEO of Akamai. "As a company, we are extremely proud to be working with over 200
world-class Web sites who are using the Internet to accelerate their vision. Our goal is to help these
eBusinesses succeed by stretching the outer limits of the `Net, making Web performance issues a
distant memory."

Yuk. Any technology this good should basically have ascended by now.

The word "proud" is used about 7 times in the press release. Doesn't pride come before a fall?

Show me the money George.

(OT) Anyone see the CEO of FMKT on CNBC asked if he would invest in his company at the current stock price? That was pretty good.

i added some today above 290..

i can't believe this pig opened up 10 pts on news of such a small alliance...

it was a gift...

i am stunned by akam's market cap...

again and for the record, i think sandpiper/isld is a better play b/c of its alliance with inktomi and sun micro...

peterschmidt, the ceo of inkt, is a one bad dude...

he is playing on isld's team...

i like isld, and akam is worth 7 times more...

stunning, ludicrous, and truly meritless...

i am not a shareholder of isld, and i am short akam...

i will buy isld, one day, when the streets are filled with blood...until then, i will be short this pig<on 'recycle' mode>...until the market caps of the the 2 cross...

tom, i started with some akam this morning from 275-285...

i still have a feeling that we are going to see a split announcement, a secondary, and an early floodgate<<lock-up release>> on akam...all in the next month...

i am out of gwrx, plug, vitr as of today...

i am concentrating on kana, ebay and enga...with starters in akam and sandisk...

i have 2 more longs now in addition to eshr...they are isld and lphl...take a close look at lphl...look right now when you read this...lphl could be huge...a potential 10-bagger in 2000...float is less than 1.2 million...recent investors include CNN and warburg dillon read...

CNN has interesting plans for their investment in lphl...laughingplanet.com

good luck,

steve
