No I am not changing the subject by quoting that scripture... Everything I believe concerning God comes from the scriptures themselves. Confessions or statements of faith or creeds... ...merely attempt to first "categorize" and second "simplify" what scripture teaches in God's Word. God does not say "OK Chapter ?? Lets talk about the salvation of children" The truth of God is given in "portions" throughout scripture. I thought the first post to you "plainly" explains what the Bible teaches but it appears not. The OUTWARD CALL is the preaching of the Gospel.... we are to preach to every creature even as Christ has said if they will to "listen." The INWARD ( Effectual ) CALL is of the Spirit in the heart. It is being chosen to not only "listen" but to being unable not to "hear" and "savingly" believe. The two sections that addressed your question were... III. Elect infants...etc... Did you not notice the words "Elect infants" at the very outset of section 3 even though I made them BOLD ? Then the very next section 4 starts again... IV. Others, not elected...etc.. Did you also not notice the words "not elected" even though I made them also BOLD RE>>Sorry, to me this doesn't seem to be as clearly spelled out as most of your teachings. << Forgive me if I misjudge you but I at this point I have trouble trusting your sincerity, perhaps I am just getting a little too suspicious because so many who profess to love God have pitted themselves against both me and my Lord Jesus Christ... and His truth also... What did you think that verse taught? 1 Cor 7 was written by Paul to address questions about these kinds of things... 1 Corinthians 7:1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me...... This next quote from Paul explains it as plainly as can be for those whom God has given the power to accept Him as the final word concerning Salvation and Damnation... Romans 9:11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) Bruce what does that verse teach?
