Vitas:

I briefly looked at a couple of his notes on the loop-de--loop. It appears that he uses variations of the ARM's index. I use similar analysis and it is very useful, and together with other data, quite accurate. As you also know, I have shown that the 5-day ARMs by itself is not very reliable.

The ARM's offers the opportunity to explore the interaction of issues and volume. I only use it for the NYSE because the Nasdaq is too speculative. I have found that using the components of the ARM's together and alone is an art. The loop-de-loop fellow appears to have explored the ARM's in different ways. Anyone that works with the ARM's index and its elements is worth listening to.
