i believe what worked in 1999, will not work in 2000

Presuming for the moment that your assessment is correct, what sectors/industries would you be looking at now? Would you be looking offensively (by that I mean aggressive growth or value plays) or defensively (by that I mean safety, or low risk plays)?

I believe that it is even more simple:

Saturation. After months of ear deafening hype, gadzillion of IPO start-ups which names I neither remember nor track or own, after boasting between 20% and 2000% portfolio revenue depends how bold the poster is....
..neither (additional) cash nor interest is left to throw in,...
