Lot of good news got pumped into one day - a big down day for the market.

Given the LU warning today I wonder if we are going to get much higher than 32 before earnings without additional news or upgrades....

Lucent's warning is company specific; I don't think the markets will tank. However the employment report is out tomorrow AM.

As for AMD I still think it will continue to go up before earnings....too much good news out there...probably end up somewhere between $35 and $38 on the 19th.

Yikes, I think I am beginning to sound like niceguy ;~)

Hi Charles:

Looks like the tech correction, notwithstanding LU, has run its course if Asian markets are any indicator, both of which ended up overnight after staggering losses earlier in the week!

I remain convinced that AMD will climb north of $35 prior to earnings release, given the ongoing stream of good news and assuming a stable to declining 30 year bond rate and a stable Nasdaq...Yesterday's performance, given the overall drag on the tech market, is confirmation to me of the beginning stage of this next price upsurge...If AMD is not north of $35 by the time of GTW's confirmation, it is highly probable, imho, that a GTW confirmation will provide any required thrust to MAKE IT SO!
