<And I gained so much!!! Much more than my measely $30 tuition! > I read the whole thing and enjoyed it!

I have much of the same thoughts, except from Mars. I thought it was just everyone selling after the new year so they could raise cash and start daytrading for 14 months before they pay taxes. QCOM and CMGI and the QQQ need to turn around. In the mean time I may have to follow the money over to UNP as a slow moving position trade.

wow. autumn, its hard not to like you. here you are, your heart on your sleeve, bearing your soul in the world of trading...
would be interested in knowing more about your art, since you are obviously an artist, as am I... perhaps we can share by PM...
my experience this week has been somewhat similar, in that I find its one thing to recognize the quickly changing nature of the trading environment, and quite another to quickly change the vocabulary of trading habits that simply become somewhat unconscious patterns of a previous environment. I recognized monday, the clear sign of the market top, when everything on my screen was shooting up green at the same time. Every time I have witnessed that occurring on such a large scale, a correction was immediately imminent. That being said, I still did 36 trades on Tuesday, with amounts too large relative to the risk of the trading environment... I studied the log, and found that the better trades were all news related trades, and not position or swing trades. The losing trades were simply not taking profits quickly enough, as environments such as this do not generally sustain
much time for profit taking before conditions reverse. (of course with a few exceptions such as edig, xnet of late)
I appreciate your comments and focus about the development of your trading skills, as obviously the goal we all have is to excel in our trading in every possible environment.
